That depends on the street, and it is one of the first things we check. Parts of the centre have restrictions and loading limits that decide where a vehicle can legally stand and for how long. Where a bay suspension is needed we will tell you at survey who has to arrange it.

Our own crew in our own vans. We do not sell the job on to whoever is free that morning. If a move needs extra hands, that is on the quote with the reason why.

Yes, and for a flat or a smaller house it works perfectly well — you walk us round on your phone, open the cupboards, show us the loft hatch. For a full period house, or anywhere with awkward access, we would rather come and stand in it.

Note it on the paperwork at delivery while the crew is there, and confirm it to us in writing. The claims process and the reporting window are set out in the booking terms. Keep the packaging until a claim is assessed.

In a sound chest of drawers, usually yes. In a wardrobe, no — we bring wardrobe cartons so things travel hanging. For anything going into storage, clothes are better boxed properly than left loose in furniture.

Anything flammable, explosive or corrosive; gas bottles, paint, solvents and fuel; perishables; plants and anything living; firearms. Pets travel with you. Pianos, safes and fine art beyond ordinary crating belong with specialists and we will point you at one.
